YANGON, May 14 (Xinhua) -- A large amount of narcotic drugs worth 600 million kyats (400,000 U.S. dollars) have been seized in Myanmar’s Shan state, the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) said on Tuesday.
The seizure was made by the military in Tachileik township on Sunday.
Two bags filled with 60 kg of Ketamine were found by the military personnel near Hway Lay Lan along small Mae Sai river during the mopping-up operation in the area.
The township police filed a case to search for the suspect under the country’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
