FRANK LAMPARD says he would love Wayne Rooney at Chelsea.
Manchester United say Roo — who came on as a sub during their 4-1 romp at Swansea last night — is not for sale but Lampard hopes his England team-mate will move.
The midfielder said: “We’re going into the season strong but if the manager wants to add another player we all hope he gets his man.
“I think Chelsea have made their interest known in him.
“That’s a decision for them and Wayne to come to.”
Stamford Bridge boss Jose Mourinho has made United’s 27-year-old superstar striker his ONLY transfer target before the summer window closes on September 2.
And Blues legend Lampard, 35, admits the Special One usually gets his way with transfers.
He added: “But when you’re talking about us here at Chelsea we’ve got a big squad — we’ve got three or four strikers already.
“I didn’t speak to Wayne about it when I was with England last week. He was training and he was focused.”
