New Permanent Representative of China to UN at Geneva presents credentials

GENEVA, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Yu Jianhua, the new Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), on Wednesday presented his credentials to Michael Moller, the Director-General of the UNOG.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Yu had been serving as Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative.

Between 2013 and 2017, he was Permanent Representative of China to the World Trade Organization. Yu held several positions at China's Ministry of Commerce, including Director-General of the Department of International Economic and Trade Affairs between 2006 and 2010.

He also once worked in the Chinese Embassy in Belgium from 1992 and 1995.
