KUNMING, April 27 (Xinhua) -- The women's doubles final will become an all-Chinese battle after Xu Shilin and her Romanian parter Andreea Rosca were eliminated from the Kunming Open tennis tournament here on Saturday.
Xu and Rosca were stopped in Saturday's semifinals by No. 2 seeds Peng Shuai and Yang Zhaoxuan 6-1, 7-5, with the latters to play another Chinese pair Duan Yingying and Han Xinyun in the women's doubles final on Sunday.
"They played more aggressive in the second set, and were lucky enough with several balls on the line," Yang said. "But we didn't feel frustrated as we knew the match will be tough."
For Sunday's final, Yang said that "Kunming Tennis Open is played on the plateau with unusual climate conditions, and we hope to display our normal skills tomorrow."
