RAMALLAH, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas slammed Monday the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right wing Likud Party to annex the Jewish settlements in the West Bank to Israel, saying he will "revisit agreements signed with Israel."

Abbas said in a statement published on the official Palestinian news agency (WAFA) the he will be considering important decisions to hold Israel accountable for its violations of international laws.

"We shall make important decisions during 2018, including regarding legal venues, in order to hold Israel accountable for its grave and systematic violation of international law, and to revisit agreements signed with Israel," he said.

According the statement published by WAFA, Abbas said that this Likud decision "could not be taken without the full support of the U.S. administration that has refused to condemn Israeli colonial settlements as well as the systematic attacks and crimes of the Israeli occupation against the people of Palestine."

He also urged the international community to take actions against Israeli "incitement against Palestinian rights."
