Chinese shares close lower at midday

BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices closed lower in the morning session on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.91 percent to end at 3,299.23 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.55 percent to end at 10,835.49 points.
