HONG KONG, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 221.500 points, or 0.74 percent, to 30,284.25 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 29,979.398 and 30,487.172. Turnover totaled 117.50 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 14.97 billion U.S. dollars).
