MADRID, April 19 (Xinhua) -- The Spanish Football League (LaLiga) on Thursday renewed its agreement with the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIA) which since 2015 has seen over 100 Spanish football coaches travel to China to help coach over 15,000 youngsters.

"We think we can give a lot of football in China ... not just in teaching our technique, but also the values present in the sport," said LaLiga President Javier Tebas at an event attended by Xinhua.

"It is important for us to see how we can contribute to the training of Chinese youngsters," he continued.

The agreement signed by Tebas and CEAIE President, Liu Limin, strengthens the relationship between the two organizations for the future.

"It is a project I have followed very closely and I receive information every week about the project. We are very demanding in the way we work and even more so when that work is with the Chinese government," commented the LaLiga President.

Tebas said the summer and winter training camps and training clinics are also important to help expand the image of LaLiga in China with its huge potential market.

"China is a huge country, both in size and population ... We are becoming more seen and more popular and I believe we will continue with our long-term strategy there," explained Tebas.

Meanwhile Liu Limin highlighted the educational value of football for Chinese youngsters.

"We hope this sport can continue to advance among the people while we educate people to spread its values," he said.
