KAMPALA, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Uganda has named the final team that will take part in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cricket League Division Four tournament in Malaysia.

Head coach Steve Tikolo told Xinhua on Friday that the team has been tested well in several international matches against India, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

"I trust that the boys will deliver and guide the team to Division Three," added Tikolo. Skipper Roger Mukasa told Xinhua that the team is in high spirits ahead of the tournament which takes place in late April.

"It was a very bad experience when we got demoted last year and we know what is expected of us this time," he added. Uganda was relegated to Division Four last year along with Malaysia.

This time round, the first two teams will qualify for Division Three. The teams taking part include hosts Malaysia, Denmark, Vanuatu, Jersey, Bermuda and Uganda.

The ICC World Cricket League Division Four in Malaysia will also form part of the 2017-2022 cycle of the World Cricket League, which determines the qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup.

Uganda's squad: Roger Mukasa (Captain), Brian Masaba, Hamu Kayondo, Simon Ssesazi, Deus Muhumuza, Riazat Shah, Irfan Afridi and Henry Ssenyondo. It also includes Frank Nsubuga, Kennth Waiswa, Fred Achelam, Charles Waiswa, Bilal Hassun, Steven Wabwose and reserve- Emmanuel Isaneez.
