JERUSALEM, July 5 (Xinhua) -- A former employee of NSO, an Israeli cyber company that sells software to worldwide security and intelligence bodies, is charged with trying to sell cyber weapons on darknet for 50 million U.S. dollars.
The 38-year-old defendant was a senior programmer at NSO, and obtained access to the company's servers, tools and products code, said Israeli District Court on Thursday.
Last April, he was fired, then he stole the company's cyber weapon products, worth hundreds of millions of dollars, on a portable storage device, said the indictment.
He is suspected of trying to sell the products to foreign entity for 50 million dollars in virtual currencies. However, one of the potential buyers informed NSO of the sale.
