Turkey plans to issue Chinese yuan-denominated bonds for first time

ANKARA, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Turkey plans to issue Chinese yuan-denominated bonds for the first time, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday.

"For the first time, we are issuing Chinese yuan-denominated bonds" because of "one-sided" reports of credit rating institutions, Erdogan said in a speech to unveil a 100-day action plan of the new cabinet.

The Chinese, Mexican, Russian and Indian markets will become a priority for Turkish exports in the new era, he noted.

During a ceremony held in the Presidential Palace in the capital Ankara, the Turkish president revealed the ambitious action plan which includes 400 projects in energy, foreign trade, education, health, agriculture and tourism sectors.
