PHNOM PENH, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni will preside over the opening session of a new National Assembly on Sept. 5, according to a National Assembly statement on Monday.
The statement said the National Assembly will vote for its leadership on Sept. 6 before giving a vote of confidence to a new government on the same day.
Cambodia held its sixth general election on July 29 with 20 political parties contesting. The official results indicated that the ruling Cambodian People's Party of Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen won all 125 seats in the National Assembly.
Through the triumph, Hun Sen will continue to lead the government for another five years.
