RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Brazil coach Tite has called up uncapped Everton forward Richarlison for friendlies against the United States and El Salvador.

The 21-year-old was drafted into the squad late on Monday after Fluminense striker Pedro was ruled out with a knee injury, the Brazilian Football Confederation said in a statement.

"We are disappointed by Pedro's injury and I spoke with him to wish him a quick recovery," Brazil team coordinator Edu Gaspar said in the statement. "He will continue to be observed when he returns."

Richarlison has scored three goals in as many Premier League matches since joining Everton from Watford for a reported fee of 40 million British pounds (around 51 million US dollars) in July.

Brazil face the United States in New Jersey on Sept. 7 and El Salvador in Washington four days later.
