Awang claims fifth gold for Malaysia at Asiad

JAKARTA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Mohd Azizulhasni Awang claimed the fifth gold medal for Malaysia by winning the track cycling men's individual sprint at the 2018 Asian Games here on Thursady.

Awang, the 2016 Rio Olympic Games bronze medallist defeated Tomohiro Fukaya of Japan after dominating the first and second races in the final.

Im Chae-bin of South Korea grabbed the bronze medal by defeating Sahrom Muhammad Shah Firdaus of Malaysia.
