ZADAR, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- It was another learning experience for the Liaoning Flying Leopards on Saturday in Zadar where they suffered another heavy defeat, losing 79-43 against German champion Bayern Munich.

Two days ago, the CBA champions lost to CSKA Moscow 90-46.

"To be honest, we did a better job in defense, in offense and rebounding than in the first game, but the point is that we had 26 turnovers and that is too many. If we could take care of the turnovers we would do better," Liaoning head coach Guo Shiqiang said after the match that attracted around 300 spectators to the Kresimir Cosic Sports Hall.

This time the two Americans led the Liaoning team in scoring. Center Brandon Bass had 16 points and four rebounds and guard Lester Hudson scored 13 points with three assists. Three Bayern players scored in double digits. Robin Amaize had 14 points while Devin Booker and Nemanja Dangubic had 11 points apiece.

Guo once again pointed out that his team would be much more competitive if he would have a complete roster.

"We are playing against top European clubs that are much stronger than the clubs in our league and we miss some fundamental players who are injured. With them in the team the difference wouldn't be as big as it has been," said Guo. He welcomed the chance his team got in Zadar to compete with some of the best clubs outside the NBA league.

"This is a great opportunity for us because we, normally, don't have a chance to play against European teams. We can learn a lot from them, how they use a lot of body contact and play tough. They also play very quick in transition so we can learn how to get quick from offense to defense and vice versa. We also can learn how to play team basketball. Generally, we can learn a lot from European teams that we play against in this tournament."

Liaoning Flying Leopards will have another chance to leave a better impression and learn some more on Sunday when they will play for the fifth place in the Zadar basketball tournament against Maccabi Tel Aviv, one of the most famous European basketball teams of all time.
