FRANKFURT, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 132.24 points, or 1.08 percent, to close at 12,111.90 points.
Energy group RWE lost the most among the blue chips, down by 8.67 percent, followed by Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and material manufacturer Covestro, which lost 5.38 percent and 2.89 percent respectively.
Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical, reinsurance company Munich Re and Deutsche Bank were the top three winners, rising 0.63 percent, 0.54 percent and 0.54 percent respectively.
RWE was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 289.50 million euros (332.92 million U.S. dollars).
