KUNMING, China, Nov 9 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia's Bilguunjargal Erdenebat and China's Jiang Yangsiqi won the men's and women's categories respectively in stage 5 of the Colorful Yunnan International Granfondo Cycling Festival in Dali, Yunnan Province on Friday.

The fifth stage is a flat road race of 115 kilometers around Erhai Lake. The highlights along the route include Butterfly Spring and Three Pagodas of ChongSheng Temple.

Bilguunjargal Erdenebat completed the race with 2:32:07. "Today our teammates did a perfect cooperation, at the first 15 kilometers, our team broke from the group, and moved forward together. And then, we made the victory," Erdenebat said. And his teammate, Mongolia's Myagmarsuren Baasankhuu, who had won the previous two stages, finished third.

In the women's race, Jiang Yangsiqi, who is just 16 years old, finished in 2:42:10 to claim the yellow jersey. "Today was terrific because I had enough rest and sleep. I am a flat road cyclist, and had a good final spurt," Jiang said.

The Yunnan Granfondo has been held every year since 2014. This year's competition covers more than 600 kilometers, including six stages. Lijing stage will be the last one on Saturday. Nearly 1,500 cyclists from 26 countries and regions are taking part in the competition.
