Three car-hailing platforms obtain license to operate in Beijing

BEIJING, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- Three car-hailing platforms, including Meituan, Sougu and Xinghui, have obtained operating licenses from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport Friday.

A total of 11 car-hailing platforms are allowed to carry out businesses in the city.

According to the commission, the city government encourages the integrated development of cruising taxis and online car-hailing services, promotes a market mechanism for fair competition and creates more options and a better experience for passengers.
