BRISBANE, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- The US Open champion Naomi Osaka lost 6-2, 6-4 in 66 minutes to Ukranian player Lesia Tsurenko in the seimfinal of the Brisbane International.
The world No. 5 made 26 unforced errors in the match, which cost her not only the chance to win the title but also to move up to the No. 3 in world ranking.
Tsurenko, the world No. 27, will face former champion Karolina Pliskova or 34th ranked Donna Vekic in the final on Sunday.
