BEIRUT, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Lebanese Higher Defense Council announced on Thursday that Lebanon will submit a complaint to the UN Security Council with regard to Israel's violations of the Lebanese territory, Lebanon's presidency website said.
The Lebanese army will be given necessary directions to address these violations while Lebanon will increase its diplomatic contacts to explain its stance on the Israeli aggression, the Higher Defense Council added.
These decisions came during a meeting of the council held at Baabda Palace, which gathered the country's top political and security officials to discuss developments on the southern borders of Lebanon.
The meeting was held after Israel placed 25 cement blocks along the border near the southern village of Adaisseh, with six of them at disputed points.
The Higher Defense Council assured that Lebanon is committed to defending every inch of its land and water while being ready to complete negotiations to resolve border disputes.
