SYDNEY, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- A man has been arrested in Australia after allegedly shooting down a drone, which led police to his property where they found 187 cannabis plants and 20 kg of dried cannabis.

The discovery came on Thursday, when a real estate agent taking aerial footage in an area of New South Wales informed police that his drone had been shot down.

Police attended the scene where they uncovered large amounts of cannabis, as well as an unregistered 22 calibre rifle which was stashed at a nearby location.

The 46-year-old resident was arrested and charged with eight firearms and drug offences.

On the same day, in an unrelated incident, a 57-year-old man was arrested after he was found with 230 cannabis at his property in a nearby suburb.

Both men faced court on Friday.
