Improvised explosive device defused in Egypt's Giza province

CAIRO, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian security forces on Friday defused an improvised explosive device in the outskirts of El Istiqamah mosque in Giza province, Egyptian official news agency MENA reported.

The device belonged to the Muslim Brotherhood and attempted to target a police patrol. All legal procedures were taken, and the prosecution was notified to launch a probe, according to the report.
