PARIS, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Lyon embraced their upcoming Champions League clash with a 2-1 narrow win over bottom side Guingamp at home, and Teji Savanier registered a stunning lob in Nimes' 2-0 home win over Dijon in the 25th round of Ligue 1 on Friday.

With next Tuesday's Champions League round of 16 match against La Liga giant Barcelona in sight, Lyon rested several key players, but snatched all three points thanks to goals from Martin Terrier and Nabil Fekir. Guingamp defender Felix Eboa Eboa scored a header between the two Lyon goals.

Despite blocking Houssem Aouar's attempt, Guingamp goalkeeper Marc-Aurele Caillard failed in front of Terrier's another shot in the 15th minute.

It just took six minutes for Guingamp to level the score, as Eboa rose highest to meet Pedro Rebocho's corner.

Fekir restored Lyon's adavantage in the 35th minute by controlling Aouar's pass and steering home.

As Lyon conceded possession after the restart, Guingamp should have earned a draw, but Nolan Roux's close-range header hit the crossbar deep into stoppage time.

Victorious Lyon provisionally cut the deficit from second-ranked Lille to three points. Guingamp are firmly restrained at bottom with 14 points.

After dribbling past the half line, Savanier finished a brilliant lob past helpless goalkeeper Bobby Allain in the 28th minute and could expect it to be one of the season's best goals. Antonin Bobichon sealed Nimes' win with seven minutes from time.

Nimes move up to ninth position, while Dijon languish at 17th.

Leaders Paris Saint-Germain will visit Saint-Etienne on Sunday with a 10-point margin in hand
