KAMPALA, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopian women national football team is ready to face Uganda on Saturday in the second leg of the 2020 Olympic Games qualifier for the African region.

Serkaddis Guta, one of the Ethiopian players told Xinhua on Friday that they are optimistic that they will beat hosts Uganda since they won the first leg. Ethiopia beat Uganda 3-2 on Tuesday in the capital Addis Ababa.

"If we could score three goals in Addis Ababa, we can also score three in Uganda," said the confident Guta.

"We have come here to qualify for the next round. We know how to handle Uganda," said another Ethiopian player Loza Abera.

Faridah Bulega, head coach of Uganda's team said they are counting on the home advantage to win the game against Ethiopia.

"It was good we managed to score two goals away in Addis Ababa, which now plays to our advantage," said Bulega.

"I am hopeful that we shall take the advantage of the two away goals to overturn the result and qualify to the next round," she added. Uganda only need a 1-0 win to qualify for the next round.
