FOSHAN, China, April 21 (Xinhua) -- With some 10,000 buzzing crowd shouting out their names, Invictus Gaming swept JD Gaming 3-0 in the final of the LOL Pro League (LPL) Spring Split here on Sunday, adding a first LPL title to their decorated portfolio.

JDG saw their chances of pulling one back in the third game, when they caught their opponents short-numbered and won team fights to build some advantages.

However, with AD carry Yu 'JackeyLove' Wenbo's Draven, the champion that made him well-known in the first place, registering double kills and then triple kills in team fights, it was IG that stepped on the stage to enjoy their moment of victory in front of the roaring fans.

IG were crowned world champions at the Worlds 2018 in Incheon, South Korea, and claimed the Demacia Cup later in 2018. However, they have never won a championship in the domestic league.

Their opponents in the final, JD Gaming, were the 'dark horses' in the Spring Playoffs, emerging from the eighth in the regular season to overcome big names WE, Royal Never Give up and regular season champions FunPlusX to reach their first-ever final.

However, instead of grueling clashes, the first two games were more like one-sided ones dominated by IG, with top laner Kang 'TheShy' Seung-Lok, who won the MVP award of the final, slaying the enemies.

After winning the Spring Split, IG will represent LPL to compete with champions from other regions at the Mid-Season Invitation in Vietnam (group stages in Vietnam and the final will be held in Chinese Taipei) in May.
