MADRID, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Wednesday night wasn't a happy night for everyone associated with FC Barcelona despite their 3-0 win against Liverpool in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal.

According to reports in the Spanish media, thieves used the occasion to rob the home of Barca's Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo on Wednesday night.

Two individuals gained access to the house by climbing through a window and threatened Arthur's brother by holding a screwdriver to his neck before stealing a 'Rolex' watch and other 'valuable items and escaping through the same window.

Arthur is not the only Barca player to have suffered a robbery in their homes in recent months, with Malcom, Boeteng, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba all suffering burglaries.
