BAGHDAD, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Iraq on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted security forces in the Tunisian capital of Tunis, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"We express our strong condemnation to the sinful attacks by terrorist gangs, which aimed at harming the security of Tunisia and endangering the lives of citizens," the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier on Thursday, the Tunisian capital was hit by two suicide attacks, one targeting a police checkpoint and the other near a counter-terrorism unit.
The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attacks that resulted in the killing of a policeman and the wounding of several other people.
