Book on honored postman published

BEIJING, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A book about the stories of Chimed Dorje, an honored postal car driver, has been published by the People's Publishing House.

Chimed Dorje, who delivered mail for two counties in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Sichuan Province, was honored as "role model of the times" by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee in January.

Taking the postal route that has an average altitude of over 3,500 meters in the past 30 years, he has devoted himself to the work and was once badly wounded from protecting mail from robbers.
