JAKARTA, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian basketball association has set a gold medal target in women 3x3 basketball during the upcoming 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines, an official of the association said here.
Head of the women 3x3 basketball section, the country's basketball association head, Anthony Gunawan, disclosed that currently preparation has been undertaken for the competition in the regional sport event.
Gunawan, who is also the manager of the team, revealed that the association has already finished the first part of two phases of the selection for the team and now are conducting the second phase of the selection.
"For the second phase of selection, we will select eight players," he said on Thursday night.
The manager said that, a training camp in the Netherlands is one of the steps will be taken to boost the performance of the selected players.
The 30th biennial regional multi-sport event is scheduled to be held in the Philippines from November 30 to December 11.
