TIANJIN, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Mobile phones are a must for the Chinese people, even when they are taking showers, according to a report.

According to the report, released by a skincare product brand, 90 percent of Chinese habitually take their phones with them when they go to take a shower.

Besides listening to music, watching videos and listening to audio books or courses, 18.14 percent said they take their phones because they don't want others to look at their devices, while 9.15 percent said they need to continue working during showers.

The report also said that the showering peak for the Chinese people is the hour after 10 p.m., with 38.45 percent taking showers within this period. Most Chinese people take showers quite late at night, as smart devices take up too much of their time. Watching videos, TV series, playing games and chatting on social media all postpone people's bathing schedules, the report said.

The report is based on more than 2,400 responses to questionnaires from the brand's users, the company said.
