RIYADH, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday the transfer of an Iranian patient that was rescued last month in the sea to Oman, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The seriously injured patient was a crew member of an Iranian ship "Safiz" northwest of the city of Hodeidah in Yemen and referred to a hospital in the city of Jazan.
A source from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the ministry received a request from the Iranian Foreign Ministry through the Swiss Embassy in Riyadh to transfer the man to Oman after his health is improved.
The Iranian citizen has been transferred to Oman after necessary medical care and the stability of his health, the source added.
