KUWAIT CITY, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah met on Sunday with his visiting Polish counterpart Jacek Czaputowicz over bilateral relations, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the ways to promote close relations between Kuwait and Poland in various fields, as well as the latest regional and international developments, KUNA said.

They also talked about cooperation and coordination in the context of the two countries' current non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council (UNSC).

On June 2, 2017, the UN General Assembly elected Cote d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Kuwait, Poland and Peru as non-permanent members of the UNSC to serve a two-year term starting from Jan. 1, 2018.
