MADRID, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata will miss his side's La Liga game at home against Eibar on Sunday and will almost certainly also be out of Spain's forthcoming international matches against Romania and the Faroe Islands after suffering a "moderate" twist in his right knee.

Morata suffered the injury during Wednesday's training session. The club sent him for tests which ruled out any ligament damage, although he is likely to be sidelined for a couple of weeks.

The former Real Madrid and Chelsea striker had enjoyed a positive start to the season, scoring the winning goal in Atletico's 1-0 win at home over Getafe and working hard in their 1-0 victory away to Leganes last week.

Atletico coach Diego Simeone will have striker Diego Costa available after suspension and injury at the weekend, but Costa is lacking match fitness and the coach will have to decide whether to put Costa straight back into his team or to use new signing Joao Felix in a more advanced role on the pitch.
