RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- River Plate earned a berth in the Copa Libertadores last eight by completing a 3-0 aggregate win over their Argentine rivals Racing Club on Wednesday.

The result at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires handed River a 3-0 aggregate victory after their goalless draw in last week's first leg.

Lucas Pratto gave the hosts the lead in the 11th minute before Exequiel Palacios added another goal just before the half-hour mark. Santos Borre completed the rout nine minutes from time.

In Sao Paulo, Brazilian giants Corinthians were eliminated despite a 2-1 victory over Chile's Colo-Colo. The Santiago outfit won the first leg 1-0 and progressed by virtue of scoring an away goal.

In Wednesday's only other match, Flamengo overcame their Brazilian rivals Cruzeiro 1-0 in Rio de Janeiro but were defeated 2-1 on aggregate.
