Argentina to host Nicaragua in soccer friendly in June

BUENOS AIRES, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Argentina will meet Nicaragua in a friendly next month as both teams conclude their preparations for respective continental tournaments.

The fixture will be played on June 7 in the northwestern city of San Juan, the Argentine Football Association said in a Twitter post on Wednesday.

It will be Argentina's last match before the Copa America, to be held in Brazil from June 14 to July 7.

The Albiceleste have been drawn in Group B alongside Colombia, Paraguay and Qatar.

Nicaragua will begin their CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign against Nicaragua at Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica on June 16.
