TEHRAN, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Turkmenistan traded 257,483 tons of non-oil commodities worth 153.97 million U.S. dollars in the first five months of the current Iranian fiscal year starting March 21, Eghtesad online news website reported Monday.
The figures registered a 37.8-percent rise in weight and 14.75-percent decline in value compared with the same period last year, the report said.
Iran mainly exported sugar and potatoes to Turkmenistan during the five-month period.
Iran's imports from Turkmenistan mainly include cotton linter, coke and mineral oils.
