TUBAS, West Bank, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Israeli forces on Tuesday dismantled and seized caravans belonging to a local school in Tubas area in the West Bank's northern Valleys and detained the faculty staff.

The school serves about 24 students in the area of Khirbet Ibiziq. It is one of nearly a dozen public schools named as "Challenge Schools" located in areas classified as area (C).

According to Aref Daraghmeh, Palestinian human rights activist in the area, Israeli forces closed down roads leading to the school and dismantled two caravans.

Sa'ed Qabaha, director of Education Ministry in Tubas area told Xinhua that Israel is confiscating the right of dozens of students from the area to receive public education.

According to the interim Oslo Accords signed between the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Israel in 1993, the West Bank is divided into three zones: A, B and C, with Area (A) being under Palestinian control, (B) being under Israeli security control and Palestinian administrative control, and (C) being under full Israeli control.
