JERUSALEM, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Israeli scientists have found that neural coding in the human brain has become more efficient yet less immune to errors, which can explain a tendency to psycho pathological disorders, Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science said Tuesday.

These disorders include anxiety, autism, depression, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and so on.

It turns out that biological evolution has created a complex and sophisticated human brain but more exposed to defects and malfunctions.

The researchers developed a test to measure the efficiency of the neural code.

It was found that the higher the efficacy of the neural code in the human brain's amygdala area, which is responsible for decision making and rational thinking, the less the immunity to errors.

Such errors create survival responses even for situations that are not life-threatening such as anxiety disorders and post-trauma.

"Evolution has tried to create a more efficient system and paid for it in a system less immune to errors", the researchers said.
