5.1-magnitude quake hits Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING, April 4 (Xinhua) -- A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Taitung county, Taiwan, at 9:56 a.m. Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 22.99 degrees north latitude and 120.85 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said in a statement.
