SAO PAULO, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Corinthians claimed their 30th Sao Paulo state title on Sunday with a 2-1 home victory over Sao Paulo FC.

Former Monaco and Brazil international forward Vagner Love struck the winner in the 89th minute after Sao Paulo teenager Antony Santos canceled out Danilo Avelar's opener.

The result at the Corinthians Arena followed a 0-0 draw in the first leg on April 14.

It was Corinthians' third straight state championship triumph and means they have now won eight more titles than Palmeiras, the second most successful club in the competition.

Meanwhile, Willian Arao and Victor Coelho netted either side of halftime as Flamengo completed a 4-0 aggregate win over Vasco da Gama in the Rio de Janeiro state final.

Sunday's 2-0 result at the Maracana Stadium replicated the scoreline in the first leg at the Olympic Stadium.

Brazil Serie A season begins on Saturday.
