China win berth to Asian women's U23 volleyball championship semifinals in Vietnam

HANOI, July 19 (Xinhua) -- China crushed China's Hong Kong 3-0 on Friday, booking a berth in the semifinals of the ongoing third Asian women's U23 volleyball championship.

Beating Hong Kong 3-0 with scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-12 in 65 minutes, China maintained its five-match winning streak at the championship which will conclude on Sunday in Vietnam's capital Hanoi.

Earlier, China downed Vietnam 3-1, and whitewashed New Zealand, India and Chinese Taipei with the same score of 3-0.

Also on Friday, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea defeated New Zealand 3-0.
